What we do

Confidence is a skill. We teach it.

Between nursing shifts and after discharge, families deliver most of a child’s care. Training is how we make that safe — for your child and for you.

  • Hands-on skills teaching · trach care, tube feeding, medications, and treatments — practiced, not just explained.
  • Emergency response practice · step-by-step drills for the scenarios that scare you most.
  • Equipment & alarms · what every beep means and what to do about it.
  • Daily care systems · schedules, checklists, and documentation that keep the household running.
  • Back-up caregiver training · grandparents, partners, and sitters brought up to the same standard.
  • School & community coordination · care plans and training hand-offs so school days are safe days.
Who it's for

Who benefits from family training

01

New diagnosis or equipment

A new trach, tube, or device — learned properly from the start.

02

Transitions

Coming home from the hospital, starting school, or changing care plans.

03

Extended caregivers

Everyone who watches your child, trained to the same checklist.

How it works

Practice first. Confidence follows.

Our teach-back method means no caregiver is signed off until they’ve done the skill themselves — correctly, calmly, more than once.

i.

Assess

We map every skill your child’s care requires and who needs to know it.

ii.

Demonstrate

Nurses model each skill slowly, in your home, on your equipment.

iii.

Teach back

You practice with coaching until the checklist is complete.

iv.

Refresh

Skills reviewed as your child grows and the plan of care changes.
